Crisis Response Network, Inc. presents to Odyssey Health

On Friday 31st July, 2009, CRN visited the headquarters of Odyssey HealthCare, Phoenix Division, to provide an overview on the Maricopa County crisis system. Odyssey provides an array of services to improve the quality of life for patients facing terminal diagnoses, while providing support for their loved ones. CRN was able to connect with many on a typical treatment team; present were registered nurses, home healthcare aides, social workers, chaplains, and a bereavement counselor, and educate them on how to navigate the crisis system. Odyssey bereavement counselor, Teresa Martinez, M.C., L.A.C. reported she felt “at ease and very confident in knowing that the crisis system was available” should they need assistance in obtaining emergency behavioral health services, for patients and families in homes, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living facilities.
